Shiftie field manual

Keep service moving. Keep the record clean.

For employees, bartenders, managers, and venue owners
Employee

Show the current benefit.

  1. Open the venue wallet.
  2. Choose an approved item if the house uses itemized mode.
  3. Keep the rotating QR visible until the bartender confirms redemption.
Bartender

Verify, choose, redeem.

  1. Open your venue's Redeem Mode.
  2. Scan the current QR and confirm the employee.
  3. Confirm or change the approved item, then redeem once.
Manager

Release and reconcile.

  1. Invite and maintain the right venue roles.
  2. Release regular perks after checkout; issue bonuses deliberately.
  3. Review Outstanding and Redemptions before the business night closes.

Quick recovery

When the screen says no.

No sign-in email

Confirm the invited email, check spam, wait two minutes, and request one fresh link. Use only the newest link.

No available Shiftie

Ask a manager to confirm the Employee role is active and release the regular benefit after checkout.

Expired or replaced code

Keep the employee wallet open and scan the newest rotating QR. Do not use a screenshot.

Wrong venue

The employee and redeemer must both be operating inside the same venue workspace.

Camera unavailable

Allow camera access for shiftie.me or paste the Shiftie link/token into Redeem Mode.

Already redeemed

Do not pour against the code again. Ask a manager to verify the redemption ledger before taking any other action.

Offline

Reconnect before redeeming. Shiftie does not cache a redeemable coupon or allow offline redemption.

Venue fallback

If Shiftie is unavailable, stop digital redemption.

The product fails closed to prevent duplicate use. A manager may apply the venue's own documented fallback policy outside Shiftie. Record that exception separately; never treat an unverified screenshot as a completed Shiftie redemption.

Security and service incident

Report it while the details are fresh.

Email info@shiftie.me with the venue, affected role, device/browser, approximate time, exact message shown, and whether a benefit may have been poured or duplicated. Do not include passwords, sign-in links, session cookies, or a live QR token.

UrgentPossible unauthorized access, duplicate redemption, exposed employee information, or an inability to revoke access.
NormalLayout problems, confusing copy, delayed email, camera compatibility, or a report discrepancy with no active security risk.
